







Spirit Brands is an emerging company that markets alcohol brands around the world that truly believes that the production and tasting of alcohol is comparable to creating art. For this reason and due to our mantra "Art against indifference" we were commissioned to develop its Brand Identity, seeking to create a highly differentiated one from its competitors. By researching the different myths that exist around alcohol in different cultures of the world, we found that alcohol is connected to divine figures in charge of these drinks: Ninkasi, Osiris, Dionysus and even the blood of Jesus Christ himself make it clear that universally, alcohol is a gift of the gods for humanity. With this concept in mind, we developed a visual language that summarizes the history of alcohol: the creation, the inheritance and gift of the gods, and the translation of it into a consumer product for the masses. Because the name “Spirit” also related to “espirituosos”, we created a logo with a personalized typeface inspired by Cyrillic, romanic semicursives with contemporary accents, that seeks to subtly evoke features of ancient cultures, which when combined with figures and symbols with rustic features, forms a memorable identity that captures the essence of the brand.
